GTA V iFruit App allows you to train Chop, customize your cars, and more
Just hours before the midnight release of GTA V, Rockstar has released a companion app for iOS users called iFruit. iFruit allows players to take care of and train Chop the dog, log in to their Social Club profile, customize their cars, and more. Training Chop in the iFruit app, as well as the changes you make on vehicles will reflect in-game.
“iFruit hooks directly into your experience of Grand Theft Auto V with some fun activities to further postpone the need for real social interaction,” the app description states. “Keep up-to-date on the latest Grand Theft Auto V news, log into the Rockstar Games Social Club, stay connected on LifeInvader and launch other Rockstar Games apps.”
While this companion app is only available for iOS, Rockstar has promised future support for Android, Windows Phone, PlayStation Mobile, and Vita.
What I’m wondering is how the iFruit app could possible be integrated with GTA Online. While training Chop and customizing Franklin, Trevor, and Michael’s vehicles is beneficial and just plain cool out of the game, being able to do the same for my own online character would be amazing. And with the ability to log in and manage my Social Club account, being able to manage my crew would be awesome as well. Hopefully we’ll see some future updates.
